Update: more on GIS & AI at the bottom
This updates maps on my other blog on Dissolution Monasteries & Thankful Villages focused on Britain... Ben Maton @salisburyorganist on Youtube and benmatonmusic.co.uk posts wonderful storytelling weekly: he blends country walks to churches he seeks to play organs on, a bit of history attached to the church or piece of music, and a lot of erudition presented in an engaging manner; it garnered him over 200K subscribers in 5 yrs. on a rather eclectic niche topic... he must be onto something!
In the latest episode here, a user from afar mused he had no idea where these are? So I simply asked AI to collect them for me c/w coordinates. The prompt for you to look at is mapped here with these caveats: it's neither a full list nor a ground-checked one; but AI found in a jiffy what took me ages before, and I been doing this for 40 yrs... The prompt gives you all the deets incl. the actual data, should you have a yen for it... Enjoy!

More AI-assisted GIS
AI suggested we cluster them by region, and then link them into fictional day trips:

If you read the end of the
prompt, you'll see that:
- the results aren't in spreadsheet, but in an encapsulated text output called JSON; it further saved me some time by delivering it all preformatted
- this in my main blog and these here also showed routes linking points into road trips: AI delivered them in spreadsheet format, which I then mapped as lines like I mapped the villages as points; this time however AI delivered both points & lines as JSON files GIS plotted directly - note that AI output in proper format, which had bedeviled me before - is AI learning to find better ways to deliver data after repetitive mapping prompts?
- lastly, GIS highlighted an error there that was quickly & easily corrected & reissued... the difference with previous examples, is that they're reissued in bulk & easily reloaded!
All this points toward something I addressed here about the intersection of GIS & AI, where one reinforces the other explicitly (as in corrections) or implicitly (as in data delivery)... hence the title including "GIS 💖 AI".
